Summertime in Greater Palm Springs: The Long and the Short of it! June 22, 2015
If you’re looking for something fun and unique to do in Palm Springs this summer then you should definitely check out ShortFest. ShortFest is the name the locals give to the renowned Palm Springs International Short Film Festival which is now in its 21st year. Take an LA Limo and head from Los Angeles to San Francisco!
Running from the 16th of June until the 21st of June, Shortfest has developed to become the largest short film festival in North America today and it shows no sign of slowing growth-wise; this year promises to be the biggest and best event yet. ShortFest has become a major talent scouting ground so by attending you get a chance to see the next big thing before it has even happened.
The event is all about having fun and enjoying the cinema; you’ll get the opportunity to see a wide range of micro-masterpieces with themes as diverse as you can imagine. Over one hundred films screened at ShortFest have gone on to receive Oscar nominations; this should give you some idea of the treat you’re in for.
If you are more into your music then you should definitely check out Splash House. Splash House is a top music festival which takes place in and around Palm Springs’ resort pool scene. Back for its third year between the 13th and 14th of June and the 8th and 9th of August, attendees will get a real SoCal dance music experience in chilled out, yet opulent surroundings.
Special guest and artists are being added to the line ups all the time; be sure to keep your ear to the ground.
Restaurant Week returns to Palm Springs between the 29th of May and the 7th of June for its seventh consecutive year. The valley has over one hundred participating restaurants that are all offering fantastic discounts on their usual prices. There really is something for every culinary taste from a variety of chefs (some of which are James Beard winners). “Eat. See. Stay” is restaurant week’s mantra; we’re sure that you won’t be disappointed.
No matter where you decide to go, limousine rental should be something you consider. A limo in Palm Springs is far from out of place, so using a Los Angeles to Palm Springs car service would be an ideal way to make that stellar entrance to your summer events.
